Our most important job is to keep our students safe. Our instructor is nationally certified by the Professional Association for Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH). PATH is the governing body of the therapeutic riding world. The certification process includes an internship with an experienced instructor and an evaluation of the candidate’s horseback riding skills and observation of the candidate’s teaching ability. Candidates are evaluated by expert therapeutic riding instructors and must demonstrate riding competency and the ability to teach an effective, safe lesson to people with special needs.

PATH has created a stringent set of rules to ensure safety for participants. We follow all these standards of practice to keep our students safe. In addition to following the strict industry standards, Horsepowered Learning Services is fully insured.

Helmets are provided and required for every student. Long pants and closed toed shoes are also required.
