Our instructor and founder is Laura Wuchner, who has found her dream job as a certified therapeutic riding instructor. Laura is a nurse and spent the first several years of her nursing career in a specialty intensive care unit caring for people with severe brain and spinal cord injuries and conditions. That experience has given her a unique perspective and skill set that has proved helpful while working with children with special needs.

 

Laura has been crazy about horses since she was a little girl. She showed horses in 4-H while growing up. She started volunteering with a therapeutic riding program in 2012 and loved it immediately. She did an internship with Horses in Education, a therapeutic riding program on the West side of Indianapolis with an emphasis on education. She earned her instructor’s certification from the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship in 2014.
